The mission of the Texas Substance Use Symposium, or TxSUS (pronounced “Texas”) is to reduce the burden of substance use on Texas communities by convening health care providers, behavioral health professionals, peer recovery specialists, and others to collaboratively identify our local substance use challenges and solutions to this public health concern.

 

TxSUS 2023 features in-depth, specialized learning opportunities and skill-building workshops by high-quality instructors, plus ample opportunities for networking, collaborating, and exhibiting!

Visit the link below to learn about an innovative drug checking service developed to inform North Carolina's public health response to substance use challenges by experts at the Opioid Data Lab. Dr. Dasgupta is an applied epidemiologist, an associate editor for the American Journal of Public Health, and the founder of Project Lazarus. Ms. Figgatt is a PhD candidate in epidemiology and implemented Philadelphia's drug overdose fatality review program.
